Meet our Team
Leanne Dalton – Horse Centre Manager
As the Manager of the Vision Valley Horse Centre I am responsible for overseeing all daily operations and programs. I have ridden all my life and have enjoyed working with racehorses, polo ponies, dressage and jumping horses and also as a veterinary nurse for many years. I am also a Level 1 EA NCAS Instructor. I really enjoy the opportunity that I have been given in my current role to assist other people to improve their riding skills and share in that special bond that we form with our horses. Most weekends you will find me competing at show jumping events or cheering on my daughter at pony club competitions.
Brooke Farmer - full time instructor
Brooke has been working at the Horse Centre for 2 years and is responsible for instructing weekday students as well as caring for the school horses and boarders. Brooke has competed in all disciplines of riding at pony club from the age of 5, but has now selected her desired discipline of mounted games. Brooke represented Australia in mounted games at the age of 16 in America and at the age of 18 in New Zealand. She has top placing's in NSW State Sporting and NSW State Campdrafting.
Brooke rides within the Australian Mounted Games Association in Individuals, Pairs and Teams. Brooke and her mair also won the NSW State Pairs Championship. Brooke is a favourite instructor to many of our young riders who enjoy her enthusiastic and fun approach.
Michelle Cahill – casual instructor
Like all little girls I loved horses, but didn’t have one so I spent every waking moment with people that did have them. I didn’t get my first horse until I left school. That was to be the first of many horses to come.
I have 30 years experience in the horse industry; including, pony club instructor, hack riding, FEI dressage rider, accredited dressage judge and NCAS accredited Instructor. Dressage is my passion, and I love teaching dressage and seeing the improvement in riders, the definition of dressage is to train, so it’s the basis of all riding.
Cassi Brett - casual instructor
I have been riding since I was 4 years old – firstly pony club in all disciplines but then I found my passion for dressage. I have been extremely lucky to have been offered the ride on the very talented and lovely gelding “Coroebus” for the past 2 years. As a combination we have been really successful from elementary level to advanced and I hope to start FEI Prix St George after my HSC is completed. I also have a young Warmblood mare waiting to be broken later this year - which I’m sure will be a new journey of training in itself.
Bronte Savage - casual instructor
I have been riding at Vision Valley since 2006, when I started lessons at the same time I started high school. Leanne offered me a position with the team here at Vision Valley as an instructor last year. I enjoy the discipline of jumping the most, as it gives me clear goals to work towards and I definitely know from the increasing technicality in my lessons how my skills are progressing. One of my roles has been to regularly work and jump the newest horses in the team to help to integrate them into the ranks of the Vision Valley family, and it has been great to see these horses develop through their continued education with our students. I aim to compete in the near future and will be looking to buy my own horse within the next year after I have completed the HSC.
Dylan Willett - casual instructor
I have loved horses for as long as I can remember, and begged riding lessons from anyone who would let me climb on their horses. I started pony club when I was 12 years old, having a go at all disciplines but mounted games and jumping were definitely my favourites. I became interested in hacking as well and took my Arab gelding to the Arab Nationals when I was 18, where we placed 4th in our class. I studied at Tocal Agricultural College in '98 and '99 completing Cert 3 and 4 in Agriculture. After college I travelled through QLD and NSW working on outback stations doing cattle and horse work. I was employed by a Haflinger stud undertaking the handling and breaking in of young stock during this time. In 2004 I became a vet nurse and loved working with all the different animals that we treated. I have been working for Vision Valley since 2009 and love helping others discover their passion for riding. I currently have 3 horses of my own, one retired, a lovely Waler mare who is currently being leased to another family and my daughters Shetland pony who we are hoping to start attending pony club with soon.

Testimonials
“I have been riding at Vision Valley since I was six. I have been lucky to have made so many horse friends. I really like learning how to look after the horses as well. All the horses at Vision Valley have real horsenality!”
David Richey-Lowe (12), client
“The things I really like about the Vision Valley Horse Centre are the fantastic facilities and the terrific people. This coupled with a safe and nurturing environment that helps the rider learn and extend their abilities in a fun and supportive atmosphere is what makes Vision Valley a great place to be. I have been very happy with the way that our young rider has been able to develop good riding habits under the expert guidance of the Vision Valley Horse Team. The good thing about Vision Valley’s approach is that it is not just about sitting on a horse - it is about having fun and learning to ride safely and confidently. With lessons, trails, camps, birthday parties and now jumping – Vision Valley has it all!”Stuart Lowe, parent of David Richey-Lowe
"Our daughter has been riding at Vision Valley Horse Centre since January 2009. She has made great progress by having individual lessons. She is now at a standard where she is able to have a group lesson with a small group. The hour lesson is spent jumping or going on a trail ride where they learn a lot of skills. Horse riding is the highlight of her week.
The staff are all wonderful people. Great fun and excellent teachers. Another thing that is so good about the Vision Valley Horse Centre is that students are able to tack, brush and feed the horses. There is a lovely atmosphere and we all feel so welcome. I could not recommend the Vision Valley Horse Centre more highly".
